Our journey began in September 1965 when founder David Nix purchased Roy T. Wileman Lumber Co., establishing a family-owned business committed to serving the growing needs of Oklahoma City’s builders, contractors, and DIY enthusiasts. Under David’s leadership, Nix Lumber & Hardware quickly became known for our superior products, competitive pricing, and personalized service.

In the late 2000s, John Nix took the reins, continuing his father’s vision while modernizing operations to meet the demands of the 21st century. After David’s passing in 2011, John became the sole owner, carrying forward the values of hard work and integrity that have defined us for nearly 60 years.
